Script and Lines

My explainer video teaches how to cook instant noodles with spam and egg. I wrote the full script and cooking steps first, then planned out the scenes while thinking about visual style. This helps me organize animation and design at the same time.

Research & Styling

This assignment is to create a 15–20 second explainer video showing a simple process, using After Effects to combine animation, storytelling, and multimedia with smooth motion and clear visuals.

Storyboard & Assets

Next, I sketched the storyboard based on my written script. Each frame shows a key cooking step, with arrows and notes for motion and transitions. I carefully chose camera angles to ensure each action is clearly visible. I also defined a bold colour palette: red, yellow, pink, and blue to create an energetic and playful look that keeps the video visually engaging and easy to follow.

Composing

Next, I illustrated each object in a minimal style with correct scale and angles. After that, I composed the animation in After Effects, keyframed all elements to ensure smooth interaction. I also selected a background music, so all object movements follow its rhythm. From this assignment, I learn how to compose a simple narrative animation.
