objective:

This course builds visual thinking through daily sketching. It trains students to observe, simplify, and quickly express design ideas using various drawing techniques — developing speed, clarity, and confidence in visual communication.

Arrow & Shape

Through 2 weeks of focused practice, I improved my two-point perspective by sketching freehand with light and final lines. The left side of my sketch focuses on 3D arrows, while the right side explores 3D boxes above and below the horizon — helping me strengthen spatial depth and form control.

1 & 2-points Perspective

These 2 weeks of intensive practice in 1-point perspective, I gained confidence in sketching both geometric and letterform structures. The left side of my drawing focuses on 3D type design using a single vanishing point, while the right side applies 2-point perspective to complex tech-related objects like a laptop, phone, and speakers.

Light until Right

This sketch combines everything I’ve learned throughout the semester. On the left, I practiced with food-related objects using geometric breakdown and proportion. On the right, I explored imaginative robot forms, applying perspective, cylinders, and constructed volumes to show form and character with clarity and line control.

Complex Objects

In the final week, I applied all the drawing techniques learned throughout the course to develop a full page of complex, food-themed logo sketches. Using pen only, I combined 3D forms, perspective, hatching, and typographic elements while maintaining strong control of line quality and composition.
